"Waterloo LEARN" from Desire2Learn (D2L), replaced UW-ACE in January 2012. No courses run in UW-ACE after the fall 2011 term, though instructors will continue to have access until early May 2012. Past course contents are converted so those materials can be loaded into LEARN (so you will continue to have access to your past courses as you would have had in UW-ACE). Students will not have access to UW-ACE after the start of the winter term (as usual). For more information on moving to LEARN see the LMS Selection Project communications pages, under the Project tab. Instructors: Please contact your CTE Liaison or learnhelp@uwaterloo.ca to request your course be created on LEARN.
UW-ACE and LEARN are web-based learning management systems that enable instructors to manage course materials and interact easily and efficiently with their students. They can function both as a complement to traditional on-campus courses and as a platform for hybrid, fully online, and distance learning.
